Hello, Starting SeoulAsk
#

I was born in Seoul and still live here now.

That feeling you get when walking through an unfamiliar neighborhood—that slight sense of being overwhelmed by not knowing where to eat, and then the small joy when you discover something. That’s the flavor of travel, I think.

Foreign tourists looking at a map in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace. People on the subway staring at the route map for a long time, only to end up looking like they got on the wrong train. People hesitating in front of restaurants while looking at the menu.

I live in Seoul every day, but for them, Seoul is new.

“How much are the cherry blossoms blooming in Yeouido right now?” “How long is the line for the Gyeongbokgung Palace night opening?” “Where do locals eat?”

These kinds of questions aren’t usually found in travel guidebooks. Even if you search on Google, you’ll either find last year’s information or only the really famous places.

That’s why I started SeoulAsk.

It’s a space where someone living in Seoul can honestly write about Seoul at this very moment. The atmosphere of Seoul that changes with each season, restaurants that locals actually go to, subway tips that tourists don’t know, and a bulletin board where you can ask questions you have before you travel.

It’s nothing grandiose. Just like asking a neighbor who lives in Seoul. Feel free to leave a question anytime if you’re curious about anything.
